Originally constructed in 1923 as a multi-sport venue, Yost Ice Arena has been the iconic home to Wolverines hockey since 1973. With the 2022-23 season, Michigan's powerhouse hockey program celebrated its 100th anniversary as a varsity sport. During those 100 years, the historic program earned nine national championships (1948, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1955, 1964, 1996, 1998) and appeared in a record 39 NCAA Tournaments, reaching the Frozen Four 26 times. In addition, the Wolverines claimed 99 All-Americans and launched the careers of 108 players in the National Hockey League.
